Wheelchair rugby is one of the most exciting and dynamic adaptive sports in the world. Designed for athletes with impaired arm and leg function, the sport combines elements of rugby, basketball and handball and is played in specialised rugby wheelchairs on an indoor court.

Through our partnership with Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) and the London Wheelchair Rugby Club, Regain is helping more people with tetraplegia discover the sport and experience the physical, mental and social benefits it can bring.

Whether you’re looking for a new challenge, a way to stay active, or simply a chance to connect with others in the tetraplegic community, wheelchair rugby offers a supportive and welcoming environment.

Why Try Wheelchair Rugby?

Wheelchair rugby is about much more than competition. It’s about confidence, community and rediscovering what your body can do.

Community Meet others in the tetraplegic community who share similar experiences and have found a passion for the game.

Empowerment Discover how adapted sport can positively impact everyday life and help build mental strength and resilience.

Opportunity Find a potential new hobby in an environment designed specifically around your abilities.

Zero Pressure Taster sessions are designed to be safe, supportive and focused on enjoyment and discovery rather than elite performance.
