Volunteer

At Regain, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. As a small charity supporting people living with tetraplegia across the UK, the time, skills and energy that volunteers give make a real difference to the people we support.

Whether you can offer an hour occasionally or contribute your professional skills, volunteering with Regain helps us reach more people, deliver more activities and continue funding life-changing equipment and opportunities.

If you believe in helping people with tetraplegia regain independence, confidence and access to sport and active life, we would love to hear from you.

Why Volunteer with Regain?

Volunteering with Regain is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of people living with tetraplegia.

By giving your time, you can help people stay active, connected and independent. Whether you’re supporting one of our cycling events, helping behind the scenes, or sharing your professional skills, your contribution helps us reach more people and deliver more life-changing support.

As a volunteer, you might:

  • Support inclusive sports activities and fundraising events
  • Help people with tetraplegia stay active and connected
  • Use your professional skills to support the charity’s work
  • Meet inspiring members of the Regain community
  • Be part of a small charity making a big impact

Every hour matters. From helping at our London Cycling Club rides to supporting administrative tasks, your time directly supports someone on their journey toward greater independence.

Volunteering with Regain is also an opportunity to grow. You can develop new skills, gain experience in the charity sector and meet people who share a passion for making sport and activity more accessible.

Most importantly, our volunteers help build the community that sits at the heart of Regain, ensuring that no one faces tetraplegia alone.

Ways you can volunteer

There are many ways to get involved depending on your time, interests and skills.

Event volunteers Help us deliver our fundraising and community events throughout the year. This could include supporting registration, welcoming participants, helping with logistics or assisting during activities such as the Regain Cycling Challenge.

Community and outreach support Help us spread the word about Regain by sharing our events and campaigns with local clubs, businesses, schools or community groups.

Professional skills volunteering If you have professional experience in areas such as marketing, fundraising, legal support, mentoring, counselling or communications, your expertise could help strengthen the charity and support new initiatives.

Administration and project support Assist with research, event planning, fundraising initiatives or other projects that help us run smoothly behind the scenes.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone who shares our mission can volunteer with Regain. You do not need previous charity experience – just enthusiasm, kindness and a willingness to help.
